Unit title: Recognition and Management of Anaphylaxis

The qualification is designed for learners to be able to recognise and treat anaphylaxis, or someone suffering an anaphylactic shock.
Anaphylaxis is a severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction that can develop rapidly and should always be treated as a medical emergency.
If available, an injection of a medicine called adrenaline should be given as soon as possible.
Duration
A minimum of six contact hours, consisting of theoretical and practical activities.

Certification
This qualification lasts for 3 years. To renew their qualification after 3 years, delegates will need to retake the full course. However, it is recommended that, during the 3 year period, delegates attend annual refresher courses.
Number of candidates
A minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course and all candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age to qualify.

From 6 to 7 candidates: £65/candidate
From 8 to 9 candidates: £55/candidate
From 10 to 12 candidates: £45/candidate
